Indonesia trip 4th day-Semarang

After breakfast, we took a short walk to Christ's mum's small scale factory ~

After taking a short nap in the afternoon, the 2 of us decide to borrow one of the emplyees scooter and cruise on the higher land area in Semarang ~ Nice views . Lots of Jumbo houses.

We returned alittle later than expected, by the time we came back to Christ's house..his mum's alrdy at the doorstep with the car door open..all our luggage packed in to the boot of the car...It's time to catch our flight back to Jakarta ~ Yesh Christ's mum decide to join us on our holiday and followed us to Jakarta to stay for 2 days...

His mum is very soft spoken..easy going but never doubt it..a woman who build her career frm scratch..single handedly bring up 3 children ..She is STRONG!

Christ's 1st sis & bro in law were awiting us upon our arrival at the JKT airport..got us and our luggage into their car and within minutes we are having dinner..Wew...everything planned out..Abit shiok...On holiday, but no need to do own planning ...just follow other's plans .

Indonesia trip 3rd day-Rushing to Semarang

Ahh..Comes the 3rd day of the trip, and it's time to leave puncak..our initial plan was to reach Jakarta(Christ's sis house) by 4pm...quickly pack in some new clothes and head to airport to catch the 6pm flight to Semarang(Christ's hometown). But at 4pm..we were still no where near Jakarta, as there was heavy traffic flow from Puncak to Jakarta that afternoon, seems like everyone had decided to end their relaxation trip the same time as us...We were pretty stressed out in the car...by 0530pm..we had just touched the side area of Jakarta...would half an hour be enough time for us to rush to Christ's sis house, pack in some new clothes and also get to the airport to catch our plane ? Very unlikely...Infact according to Gerry(Christ's best mate cum driver at that point of time), even if we head straight to airport without stopping by christ's sis house ..we might still miss the flight..as the airport is situated at the other end of Jakarta...and in the next few days I realised that one must never NEVER underestimate the traffic conditions of Jakarta.

Without much of a choice..Christ asked Gerry to drive us straight to the airport...luckily for us there wasn't much traffic on the expressway..and not to forget Gerry is a pretty good driver..wheezing his MPV in and out of cars at a consistent speed of 130 - 140 km/h. We reached the airport at 6:15...DARN IT...the flight is scheduled to fly at 6..we are supposed to check in by 5pm...we are 1 hour 15 minutes late for check in..and 15 minutes late for take-off !!! Has our plane flew off already...omg...Christ rushed to the domestic flight counter to do whatever could be done..and came back with unbelievably good news...Thanks to the 'high efficiency' of Indonesia's domestic flight..we were still able to catch our flight as it has been delayed by 45 minutes... .. Phew We gratefully bade our mates farewell and checked in. After check in...we were ushered to the plane and it took off at 6:45p.m.

Both of us couldn't help it but grin non stop on the plane like 2 ben dans..wew ..we were lucky right ?! Plane touched down at 8p.m in Semarang..we took a cab to Christ house in his hometown...Surprise surprise...christ's family owns a shophouse along Chinatown in Semarang..that night being sunday night, there a weekend night market ongoing

Christ wanted to show me more of his hometown so he got his mum to arrange our tour in 'traditional transport'. And the 'traditional transport' turned out to be a Trishaw , also known as Becak in Java Island.

Check out our becak driver..very scrawny right...But he sure is fit..He carried 2 fatties on his trishaw halfway around town..He dropped us at a bakso shop(traditional java food) where we went in for our dinner..Half an hour later, we emerged from the shop and I was surprised to find him waiting at the doorstep of our shop...Christ assured me that this is the normal routine..wow..I can't imagine a taxi driver will wait patiently for me to finish dinner and drive me home.Hehhehehe

So remember thatI had arrived in Jakarta without fresh clothes for change? ...ewww...luckily for me ..christ's mum runs a pyjamas and underclothes factory in Semarang..hehe so I have unlimted supply of pyjamas and underclothes to choose from..Thank God

Indonesia trip 2nd day - alittle more on Puncak

Besides great weather and scenic views, Puncak is also filled with different residential resorts with varied themes..The one we lived at is Holland style. We drove past some of these resorts with little Japanese gardens in front but I was too lazy to get off the car for pictures with them..hehe..I'm more attracted to the colourful themes..such as the one below..It's more kiddish, feels like I'm in wonderland eh ? Hehehe

I dunno wat it is..the cool weather ?, the various cultural,magical themes of resorts ? or the scenic views in Puncak ...that makes it so relaxing...I can totally ease my mind and think about nothing ..nothing but how to enjoy myself~ hehehe

2nd day in Indonesia - Off to the PEAK

After 1st night arrival in JKT airport..seafood heaven dinner..crusing round jakarta in car..ice cream for supper(doing all that without unloading our luggage first..abit crazy). We had a 6 hour sleep at christ's sis house and early 7a.m we are off in the same car to head to Puncak(also known as the peak)

Before we embark on the hazardous journey uphill, we stopped over at a local eatery for some traditional breakfast ~

The view is relaxing, ain't it ? So is the weather..very cooling..think the temperature is only about 15 degrees..Shiok ~

After 2 hours ride from Jakarta, we arrived at the peak and got to the resort unit owned by Christ's family~ Took in our bags and got comfortable..It's not big as a villa but very cosy...4 bedrooms, 3 toilets, 1 kitchen and a big living room.

Busy busy May

Havent got time to finish updating my Indonesia trip...before I zoom off to Genting with mum...Plane touched down at Singapore on 1:30 a.m Tuesday 22 may...Zoomed off to Genting on 23 May Wednesday...Came back on 25 may 10p.m...Then 27th may is sister's one year anniversary...Had a get together session with my family, ben dan, and several of sis's close buddies...My school work is way behind time...But I can't seem to get enough time with my parents and ben dan...Arggghh...Got a full body check up coming up in 2 hours time...Time is pressing me...I really want to update my blog properly..but that just gotta WAIT

Backdated Entry 1 - Heading to Jakarta

My ben dan honey had to go to the office to finish up sommore work before he can come take me to the airport ..so we booked the 6p.m flight from Changi airport. At 3:30 p.m ben Dan come to my house with his luggage to pick me up, and my godly mum invite him in for some soup+ followed us to the airport. ( Think she wants to spend more time with me before I leave her for my holiday hehehe Love her) Dad came to join mum after his work..But we already checked in.

Christ buddies..who faithfully waited 2 hours for us at the airport...and greet us with the warmest of smiles..load our bags to the car and zoom us to seafood heaven !!!!

Went for Ice cream after seafood..chatted alot ..reached Christ's sis house at 3am..and unload the luggage to our rooms..within minutes..both went ZzzZZzzzz

Back from Jakarta

I'm back from jakarta !!! been a long loong time since I blog...Willl update asap..probably tmr..just wanna say I thoroughly enjoyed the trip..exciting !11!!!!! Many 1st time experiences for me...AND omg I missed the flight back to singapore...cant believe it..Will fill up the details..Now its 3:30a.m I gotta get some sleep first ..lots of pics

Got to her house at Friday afternoon 2pm..In the mood to carry out some chicken massage and get any odd jobs done..Wow it feels like the good old days back from 12 years old to 15 yrs old..the time where del an me often org chalets and prep the stuffs together..but this time its diff ..we are no longer amateurs...sad to say with all that experience we r still not pros in marinating ,set up fire, blah blah..lucky for us, Del's got a hero..Mr Yeo-her BF saves the day I reckon.
